Total Mile Protection complements Volkswagen’s factory warranty by adding extended powertrain protection after certain factory coverages expire. Are electric vehicles included in the coverage?No. Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) are excluded from Total Mile Protection. Is there a deductible for warranty repairs?Yes. A $250 deductible per visit applies to repairs made under Total Mile Protection. Do I need to follow Volkswagen maintenance requirements?Yes. Failure to follow required maintenance or the YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES section of the Limited Warranty may void coverage. Maintaining service records is strongly recommended. Are wear items or routine maintenance covered?No. Wear items, fluids, filters, spark plugs, and other maintenance components are not covered under a powertrain warranty. What conditions may void or limit my warranty coverage?Coverage may be denied if issues result from inadequate maintenance, loss of coolant or lubrication, corrosion, neglect, contamination, modifications, or failure to follow warranty responsibilities.
